The mission of AIMS Rwanda is to enable Africa’s students to flourish as independent thinkers, problem solvers and innovators capable of propelling Africa’s future scientific, educational and economic self-sufficiency. On 7th May 2019, ICDL Africa Signed an MoU with AIMS to be the digital skills provider for an AIMS Project named Teacher Training Programme.
The MoU will run for 3 years and train more than 4000 Science and Mathematics teachers. This year ICDL will train 90 trainers who will take on training from there and build capacity for the teachers.
The purpose of this training is to offer knowledge and skills to teachers to be able to conduct smart classroom across the country. During the MoU signing Thierry Zomahoun, President and CEO of AIMS mentioned that AIMS will be starting activities in Ivory Coast and they will consider working with ICDL there as well.
