ICDL Africa team started a Train-the-Trainer Programme at the Kenyatta University on 9th March 2022. The Programme ran for 3 days within which a total of 9 trainers from the university were equipped with skills on how to deliver effective ICDL training to their learners. The Programme was conducted virtually with 7 of the trainers attending from the University’s main campus and 2 from a satellite campus.

The university has an ambitious plan of rolling out the ICDL Programme to their over 60,000 students and over 6,000 in-service teachers who are taking Teacher Professional Development (TPD) course at the university. The trainers were eager to be part of this big dream. The university also has approximately 1,500 academic staff who would as well benefit from the Digital Skills Standard that ICDL offers. ICDL Africa will keep supporting the department charged with the implementation of the ICDL Programme to give the Digital skills to as many of the university population as possible.
