ICDL Africa participated at the Tanzania Annual ICT Conference (TAIC-2019). The Conference was organized by the ICT Commission under the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication hosted at the Bank of Tanzania (BOT) conference hall for three days. The conference featured presentations, panel discussions and research papers leading to a common theme “ICT for Inclusive Industrial Economy” .

The conference brought together more than 300 ICT professionals across Tanzania from different sectors to discuss opportunities and technological challenges within the society and at professional levels. The guest of Honor was Hon Eng. Isack Kamwelwe, the Minister of Works, Transport and Communication .

ICDL Africa was well represented at the event with the team in Tanzania joined by Etinick Mutinda who participated in a panel level discussion on issues around ICT policies, technical and knowledge gap in a connected society. Etinick also gave a presentation on “Digital Skills for employability and productivity” .

ICDL Africa received a certificate of appreciation from Hon Minister Eng. Isack Kamwelwe in recognition of the contribution in making this year’s event a success and the support we have continued to offer to the ICT Commission’s works in Tanzania.
