The ICDL Africa Office in Nigeria hosted the Second Phase of the Train-the-Trainer Program (TTT) in February 2020.
The three Days training was well attended by participants from various Accredited Test Centres (ATCs) drawn from various regions in Nigeria.
The participants trooping in to meet other counterparts from other ATC’s were warmly received by the host; E-Tech Complete Solutions at their Lagos office. The Training was graced by the ICDL Africa Country Manager, Aisha Farooq who welcomed the participants and shared with them importance attached to the programme. She advised them to give their best during the course of the program and to value the opportunity to be certified as ICDL trainers.

The training was delivered by the ICDL Africa Programme Manager, Peter Maina who equipped the trainers with skills on the process to delivering effective training. During the training, emphasis was pointed on class planning and evaluation of trainees needed in relation to ICDL modules, assessment of difficulty areas to pay attention to in training as well as the importance of using the Diagnostics Test Tool to determine topics that require more time and concentration.

Most importantly, Peter Maina stated the need for quality to be maintained by the trainers and their ATC’s as it is the bedrock of the ICDL Standard.
The Facilitator, Peter adjudged the Programme to be a success, which in his own words said “this set of trainers has all it takes to deliver training successfully and we expect a huge impact in society courtesy of the skills they will deliver in training”.

The Training came to an end with each trainer expressing satisfaction with the new knowledge they had just acquired, all sounding ready and confident to the core that they are ready to offer the skills to society in Nigeria and beyond.
