Students at Chum International School in Muyenga in Kampala, Uganda are more than excited after their centre migrated to the ICDL online platform SKillsbox. This has enabled them to continue with learning and testing from home during the COVID-19 pandemic that has made it hard for face to face training.
The school made a decision to have the online solution and was among the first ATCs to be migrated to the Skillsbox platform in the region. ICDL Africa Uganda office supported the Center take the learning and certification to the comfort of their students’ homes. This has been received with a lot of excitement because some students thought that they would lag behind in the pursuit of their digital studies.

Over twelve (12) students at the school have resumed their studies and about seven (7) have already done their tests using the online platform.
“ICDL Africa has really supported us in this period by offering us this platform. I call upon everyone in Uganda who might want to pursue a digital certification program to look no further than here at Chum because we are accredited by ICDL in the country and now we can even deliver training and testing for anyone in the country in the comfort of their homes,” observed ICDL Trainer Harrison Wabwiire who doubles up as the head of IT department at Chum International School.
