ICDL awareness presentation at University of Tourism Technology and Business Studies (UTB)

Print page

UTB is among the biggest private university in Rwanda with more than 6000 students. The University has just been accredited as an ICDL Accredited Test Centre and wants to make ICDL a compulsory course to all students due to the importance they believe ICDL will bring to them.

During an induction meeting with new students, ICDL was invited to speak to more than 400 candidates to discuss mainly ICDL programme, its benefits, and the National Digital Talent Policy. This academic year (September 2017 - August 2018) all new students will be certified in 4 base modules, those in their last year will do 7 modules and next year all students in the second year complete 7 modules. This is the first university we have had as an ATC and is willing to make ICDL mandatory to all students.
