Print page

As part of our market development efforts, ICDL Africa participated in Tanzania’s 3rd ICT Summit on Tuesday 5th September 2017 in Dar es Salaam. The event, hosted by Institute of Finance Management was attended by both local and international speakers from academia and Industry. ICDL Africa was represented by Etinick Mutinda and Edwin Masanta. Etinick made a presentation from The Fallacy of the 'Digital Native' Position Paper that seeks to dispel the notion that young people intuitively know how to use digital technologies. The presentation was seeking to affirm that digital skills development should be structured, formal and measurable against a recognized international standard-ICDL.
