Digital Citizen Programme Launched in Rwanda at Nu Vision High School

The Digital Citizen programme was launched at Nu Vision High School in Kigali, Rwanda by ICDL Africa. ICDL trainers and students were joined by the school’s Principal, Ndumiso Dube, ICDL Coordinator, Apollo Ssempebwa, and representatives of ICDL Africa including General Manager, Etinick Mutinda, and Rwanda Country Manager, Solange Umulisa

Digital Citizen, a programme designed for complete beginners, will be offered as a mandatory course to high school students in the first year of study. It will form foundation to progress to ICDL certification later in their studies. Speaking at the occasion, the Principal applauded ICDL Africa for choosing Nu Vision School to be the pioneers of this programme and encouraged the students to embrace digital literacy. The ICDL Africa General Manager addressed the students and presented them with the programme printed learning materials.
