Print page

Representatives of ICDL Africa presented the ICDL programme to an audience of over 200 potential candidates at the Machakos Institute of Technology career day on 22 February. The event, which took place in Machakos, Kenya, was an opportunity for high-school leavers to learn about how they can advance their education and kick-start their careers.

The event was attended by the Sub-County Director of Education, officials from the Kenya National Examinations Council, and from the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board, who encouraged the students to focus on developing skills to help them to become self-employed and to create employment for others.
As well as presenting the ICDL programme, the ICDL Africa representatives were able to give career advice to attendees and emphasise the importance of developing digital skills. There was a good degree of interest in ICDL from those attending, with a number of questions about the programme.
