At the Occasion of the 10th WTO Ministerial conference, the ICDL Africa Kenya team hosted a round table session on Digital skills in conjunction with the Irish Embassy in Nairobi, Enterprise Ireland and with the Irish state Minister in charge of Skills, Research and Innovation, Mr Damien English as the guest of honor.
ICDL Africa and the Kenya School of Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Mombasa. The MoU will act as a blueprint upon which the government of Kenya will increase the digital literacy levels of the public sector staff and the wider public to meet the standard required digital skills for the workplace.
The success of the ICDL programme at the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNAMIL) has led to the establishment of an ATC at the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire(UNOCI). The programme has enabled the staff to have an efficient work output. To build on that, a staff member of UNOCI came to Rwanda to get certified in Advanced modules in order to introduce them back in Côte d’Ivoire and Liberia.
